Time for a change
Time for a change!! Diary-x seems to have disappeared? Maybe it's only temporary - but if not I've lost all the previous entries I've done. So time to start with a blog - please bear with me as I work on this. Thanks Lynda for all your input!
It's my first day of having someone in the office today to back me up. My plans were the gym and aqua but I'm still pretty much speechless! My voice keeps coming and going and I'm coughing a bit. Despite sounding really bad I don't feel that bad but feel the exercise may have to wait another day or two. I hate any thing getting in the way of me going to the pool and it's ironic when I thought that this week there would no excuse! I don't feel bad enough to go to the doctors to be told it's probably a virus and be charged $50 so I'm using cough mixture and throat loxenges - and hoping it will clear soon!
We had our last weekend at the beach for a little while. The weather on Saturday morning was terrible, so bad that it was hard to see where the grey water ended and the sky started - it was just all gray and the waves were huge. It did clear up in the afternoon but still a bit windy along the beach. We took Devin our grandson and he talked ALL the way there and ALL the way home - and really the only time he didn't talk and ask questions was when he was asleep!! We had a friend come and stay Saturday night. We went to the local for a drink before dinner, Devin played in the playground there and then came home and cooked some yummy lamb chops that I had dug out of the freezer along with new potatoes and salad. MM have found this new spice that he likes called Piri Piri - not sure what's in it but it does have chilli - I was sprinkling a little onto the chops mentioning to anyone that was interested that it was hot when the lid fell off the spice container and the chops were smothered - after being doubled over with laughter, we managed to scrap most of it off - the chops were still a little hot!! I survived the weekend food wise - not 100% but a lot better than I have been! Also had two really long walks. The firewood arrived while I was out walking and the delivery man helped MM to put it away - so I got out of that! We planted some herbs over there - so hopefully will have a herb garden next time we go back. While walking we came across several groups of quite fit looking people wearing tramping gear and boots. They were in groups of twos to fours and seemed as fit as mountain goats. They weren't young either and this made me feel quite unfit seeing how some of them were getting along the tracks. Then on the way home we were behind a small bus that ended up pulling over and letting us pass and it was a tramping club!! I didn't feel so bad then.
Lastly a huge congratulations both to Helena and Sue competing in the tri!! Amazing and inspiring women the pair of you! I was blown away by your posts.

Hey there - welcome to Blogger! I enjoy it some much more than Diary-X so I hope you do too!
Sounds like you had a good weekend.
Hi Anne. I went to your site and the notice came up that Diary-x had a problem. Also that the posts since December 2004 had not been backed up. Bugger. It reminded me (again) that I need to print out my blog so that I have a record of it. So glad I found your comment on Linda's blog. I will remember to update my links soon.
LOL at your spicy chops. Sounds like a good night was had by all :D
Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.
