Where to begin?

Where to begin? My usual story of just being busy... so it's been a while since I updated.

My ankle - well still a bit to go here, it doesn't hurt much at all when walking but the physio just about sent me through the roof today when pressing on it and finding sore spots ( it was like ''does this hurt?") and I'm clutching the bed saying ouch! Also still a bit swollen, but the good news is for me to resume all exercise!! Then I have to report back how it goes to the physio. He thinks it will strengthen the muscles around that area which I now need to concentrate on. The last couple of sessions he has given me acupuncture. He asked if I was tired after the first dose, I said no, but when thinking of it there was one night last week where I was shattered and had trouble staying awake, not sure if it was the same night as the physio session though.

Friday night we went to a Japanese restaurant, main reason was to see if we thought it would be suitable to take our sub-contractors to for a mid year dinner. It was lovely, beautiful food, great service, they didn't go for the entree, main idea but rather little dishes coming out of whatever you wanted to try. Our thoughts were it was all a bit rushed for our mid year dinner and maybe not everyone's taste but definately would go back.

Saturday was my friend's husbands birthday. Yep we got the right night and address!!! This is a friend that I've met through aqua so we went along a bit out of our comfort zone as didn't know anyone, but it was a great night. They are quite a fun couple so we really enjoyed ourselves. Showing my age here but out came the old music that makes you want to dance. Mmmm - yet another change here because I know that I just wouldn't have been like this a few years ago, rather I would be in a corner somewhere (probably by the chippies and dip!!)

Sunday our daughter moved into temp. rented accommodation complete with furniture until their new house is finished. So I offered baby sitting services, which also ended up laundry services as their washing machine was moved out a couple of days before, I had forgotten how much washing two little kids can make, plus all their bedding!! Countless loads later it was finished. I did manage to whip up a banana cake since I was housebound, also invited daughter and SIL back for a yummy chicken roast dinner (even left overs for us for last night as well). Thier furniture is in storage and all their garden stuff, outside toys, including a tramp, basketball hoop are up here. Now our second daughter has thought that they may do the same, but they seem to have more stuff such as a swing and slides set, another tramp - our place looks a bit like a day cay centre!! Luckily we have a huge section.

Yesterday - more child sitting, I normally have Devin on a Monday after school but it was such a lousy day I decided to pick up his brother Fynn early and take them both back to their place (as our daughter was working in Masterton) I did the homework thing, cooked their dinner and done a couple of loads of laundry before their dad got home. He did appreciate it though and it was good for the boys being home early in the warm isntead of their usual 5.00pm pick up.

So needless to say the office work is now way behind!! Still I know both daughters are under a bit of pressure with the moves ahead and one also with her job on top of it all.

Food and exercise - what is it with me lately as just don't seem to keep up tracking! Not sure what the reason is but I know I have to get sorted here and start to track!!! I have today (so that's a start!) I know I can do it, just need to give my self a talking to and keep at it. Exercise - hopefully from tomorrow back to normal. I've done a few aqua sessions and my ankle has been fine. I have even managed drinking some water today which is a biggie in this weather.

Back to the office work as MM as just come in and I better look like I'm doing something useful.

Keep warm and catch you later!

Oh Anne, you are so so busy. And yes, two little kids (and their beds) make for lots of washing. I can't remember the last time I had everything washed, dried, in the cupboards, and the washing baskets empty all at the same time.

I am so glad that your ankle is able to get better and will come good with careful exercise. Good luck with this week. Hope you can update more and I can catch up on all the goss..

Glad you are able to resume excerise but do take it easy and be careful as you don't want to take 1 step forward and 2 back with your progress!
LOL @ your image of your place with tramps etc!
Take care and have a good week.

I don't know how you ever found time to track with everything else that fills your days!
Your family are so lucky to have a dedicated Mum like you - I hope they know that!

Glad you're feeling fitter. I do envy you with those grandchildren. I don't have any (yet) and am very broody. You're so lucky to have them living near - but then they're also very lucky with their gran.
