It's all go here!!
I arrived home last night just after 7.00pm to see the office in darkness - which I thought meant MM had an early night, his paperwork finished and relaxing in the house, wrong! I then saw the house was in darkness too. Poor man - he was still working!! He arrived home about half an later, it had been a bad day, well he used stronger words than that!! On top of it all he had an electric shock during the day. He was ok but was a bit shaky for some time after wards. Wasn't his fault but that doesn't really help! So another late dinner in our household. An early start today to complete the paperwork. It's all go!
Then the house my daughter and husband fell in love with ended up with a cash buyer, which gave daughter 5 days to find a buyer for their house. Theh had an open home in the weekend with some interest shown but didn't get a buyer in time, then the day after they lost the contract they get an offer on their place! So now they don't know what to do.... they are going back to the UK in September for a couple of months so an option could be to rent, some decisions to be made there.
Next thing - late last year we had carpet laid, we had waited a long time for this and was disappointed that once laid there is a noticable difference in the colours where the joins are. The carpet manufacturers came back yesterday for a second visit and they are going to totally replace the house!! My daughter said that was fantastic - but all we wanted was it to be right to start with. Now we have to empty the entire house again!! And the nagging thought in my mind, if we go for the same carpet - will it happen again? I'm not looking forward to packing up the house once more - it was a nightmare last time!
What else - Jordyn our accident prone grandson fell at child care, a HUGE egg on his forehead, grazed cheek and this is only a couple of weeks after getting his lip stiched. My daughter said people will start to wonder about them as he is always in the wars, but his last two injuries have been at childcare. Only a minute before this happened the carer took a photo of all the kids lined up being a train - then crash! Fynn his cousin was there and once again went into being the protector. Jordyn is only three but his little face looks like he's been through a battle zone. Our son was similar but I don't think quite as bad as this!
We are trying to take Monday off work, which will give us another nice long weekend. Having our own business means that we provide a service which only gives us the stats off. Three/four weeks leave a year is a thing of the past - which is why we grap every opportunity to get out and away in the weekends. Our bach has become a haven and it's just so good to get away from the phone! So all going well depending on the work load we won't be about on Monday. Our daughter and family are house sitting and baby sitting our dogs.
Yesterday I caught up with a friend for coffee, then at aqua last night the few of us that used to go to the outdoor pool turned up at the indoor one, so was really great catching up with them. LOL the session went so fast as we were talking as we worked and next thing the instructor started doing stretches which signals the end of the class. I couldn't believe how fast the time had gone!!
Today my sister is in town for a friend's graduation so we are hoping to catch up. And MM and I decided there would be no mad rush to head off to the beach tonight, so planning going refreshed tomorrow morning.
I'm heading off to the gym shortly, then lunch time aqua. As I mentioned earlier I was disappointed at not fitting in so much exercise this week, but I think my expectations are a bit high sometimes! Really I didn't do too bad - so far this week:
Wednesday - gym, aqua
Thursday - walk, aqua
Friday - gym, aqua
A few years ago just one of those sessions would have been pretty impressive for me!
Enjoy your weekend:)

You do sound busy busy, and I think you do well to fit in ANY exercise at all - think how easy it would have been in the past to use that as an excuse to never exercise! :-)
Well done Anne :) Have a great relaxing weekend. As you know I am being 'invaded' but looking forward to it just the same LOL Will talk soon :)
Hugs,
Jenny
I think that the amount of exercise you do is amazing given how much other stuff you do as well - you are right, sometimes we are too hard on ourselves.
Hope you manage to get some time off to make this a long weekend - as you say, you take the opportunities when they come around.
Have a great (long) weekend and take care.
Me
I sincerely hope you get that long weekend in Anne. After an electric shock and a busy busy time with the business both you and your husband need to have a break.
Oh your poor grandson. I can't remember the last time both my boys had an injury free face at the same time. The day that happens I am taking hundreds of photos LOL.
Its good and bad about the carpet. You have to do it but I would be making quite sure they get it right and if not they have to pay you penalties or give it to you free. It's just not right having to lay out for a major expense and have the product not work. And like you said it is no small matter getting it replaced. It's not like you can walk into a store and swap it.
But on a lighter note how funny that exercise can go by in a flash. You really can make it fit into your life as long as it is fun. I love it :D
Hope you have a great weekend :D
Phew, the dramas never stop do they!! Lucky you are becoming so expert at handling these situations :-)
Hope you get to have a nice, quiet, relaxing couple of days off tomorrow & Tuesday.
Hope you've had a great weekend - and have managed to exteand it! Our building is very empty, feels like the days between Xmas and New Year!
