WET days

The past few days have gone so quickly, finally have a moment to update. Since my shock at my weigh in last Wednesday, my week hasn't been perfect but a lot better than I had been going. I had a few really spot on days, but the weekends always seem to get me somewhere along the way. I've made a real effort with upping my water intake and it's weird as the more I drink the more I want! I've been going to aqua every day (apart from Sunday) and as my leg is a lot better I've had a couple of small walks. My really good days I've started to think of as WET days, these are the days when I manage Water, Exercise and Tracking.

What I did well:
Managed at least 2 litres of water every day.
Exercised every day.

Not so good:
Saturday night ended up topping up with mini sandwiches and nibbles. I didn't need them so why???

This coming week, I want every day to be a WET one!!

It was a busy weekend for us. Friday I had the first test, I hope it went ok. I was so nervous but once I got started I was too busy to worry! I'm not expecting a great mark but as long as I pass. Friday night we caught up with friends for dinner, it was a pub meal but I ordered a Honey soy chicken salad which was delicious and probably the most point friendly meal on the menu. Saturday MM and I went shopping, he needed new shoes and we also had a birthday present to buy. We had lunch in town and I chose a vege panini. Saturday night we watched the All Blacks (phew that was close) then went to a birthday party for one of our friends. I must admit I had a bit more than I intended to eat, found it hard as food was continously been passed around. Not going to beat myself up about it as I still made the best choices I could. On Sunday we drove down to Waikanae to visit my sister who has a birthday this week. We stopped on the way home and stocked up on piles of veges for the coming week. Sunday night I made a huge pot of pumpkin soup with enough for the freezer. Filling and point friendly and also very tasty!

Read on if you have a strong stomach - if not stop here.... We have all just taken a worm dose! Devin our grandson was here on Friday after school and kept saying he had a sore tummy, he was having a lot of trouble going to the toilet and I thought he may have been constipated. He went home but that night he woke up at 11.30pm crying and was really sore. My daughter settled him down and he seemed fine the next day. Sunday night he started crying again, it was about 8.00pm so she thought she would take him to the emergency doctor. We can laugh now but at the time he was in the waiting room and my daughter said people were looking at her strangly as he was sobbing, saying "I'm sore, hurry up doctor". Then when they went in to the rooms the doctor examined him and then showed my daughter the problem - worms!! Heaps of them, in fact the doctor said it was one of the worse cases he had seen. He gave them a prescription and out they went. Devin is petrified of worms, he got out to the car and started crying saying that "why me!!! People die with worms! Will they keep growing, I've been good so why did I get them, am I going to die". Daughter thought and quickly reassured him he wouldn't die and then come up with "worms - no the doctor said germs - not worms" - "oh germs - well that's ok then" said Devin. She phoned to tell us and said she had enough dose for everyone, we found some in the cupboard and quickly dosed ourselves. He's fine now, but MM and I had to keep a straight face when he told us what happened yesterday, especially the part when he said that he thought the doctor said worms but mummy said no it was germs. He's fine now, but we all felt a bit queasy.

Hope all your days are "WET" ones.

Sounds like you made some pretty good food choices. Parties are SO hard.

Oh, poor little Devin. Hope he is OK now.
