Feeling much more positive!
Among other things I got an I-Pod for my birthday! LOL it made me feel young!! I haven’t had a chance to get it up and running yet but I know I will get a lot of use out of it. I have been walking quite a bit more lately and now I can have music where ever I go! The birthday night went well, with a birthday cake (mainly for the kids) and then we had Thai takeaways which were really enjoyable, and not too drastic for me. It was a lovely relaxing night. In the morning a friend arrived with a beautiful bunch of daffodils and a card, when I opened the card I realised she had made it and there was a photo of us all taken at the beach, it looked really professional. MM arrived home with some flowers as well, so I felt spoiled.
The past couple of weeks I seem to have been plodding along quite well, drinking piles of water, tracking (well most days) and keeping moving and exercising. Also a big plus - nothing hurts at the moment! My ankle and leg at last seem to be back to normal, so I’ve been walking. They keep telling us that water is an aid in weight loss – well I’m sure it’s because the more you drink, the more trips you have to make to the toilet, I feel like I’m wearing a track out in the carpet! As I’m injury free I’ve also clipped on the pedometer, I found the first couple of days my steps were quite low, but I really do feel more aware of how much I’m doing and try a lot harder to be more active when wearing it. So the two new tools I’ve rediscovered are water and the pedometer. I’m feeling so much more positive!! Amazing what two losses in a row can do!
Not much planned this weekend, so hoping to venture out in to the neglected garden. It looks a total mess. Tonight we are off to a disco (for 3-5 year olds) it’s at the child care centre where Jordyn and Fynn go and should be a bit of a giggle. Then we thought we would head into town to get kebabs for dinner.
Last but not least – I got my first lot of marks back and got 54 out of a possible 64. So it’s a pass!! I lost a few marks on silly little things which is a bit frustrating – but it’s still a pass! A bit of a struggle now, this part of the paper is on Excel, and today’s exercises just about drove me mad. Hoping to get stuck in over the weekend and maybe something will click in this old brain of mine.
Oh – have to add this as I thought it quite funny, our grandson goes to one of the few schools in this area that still has religious instruction. Not sure how much good it is doing him when he said to us “did you know that in the beginning God corrected the world?” Maybe the world would be a better place to live if God had corrected it!
Have a great weekend.

Well done on your result for your paper and I'm sure you will do well in the next one too :)
Yay for rediscovering water and your pedometer! :) And for feeling so much more positive - its how amazing how much you can do and how much better you feel when you are feeling positive! :)
LOL @ your grandsons comment about god correcting the world! If only......
Have a great weekend
I wanna know how bad it was before he corrected it!
Happy birthday, belatedly. Daffodils - what a strange thought for us here in Scotland, in the last lovely days of summer.
