Still here

Life is a little busy at the moment. Our daughter who is currently overseas also works for us on a part time basis a couple of days a week and she will be most welcome back! Also before they left she asked if I would mind going around and bringing home their sheets and towels to wash, (they had an early flight and with the two little ones she wasn't going to have time before they left) just realised yesterday they are due back next week and I hadn't done it - so today is wash day, onto load number four! Also as we are going away in a couple of weeks and have house sitters, I need to tidy up. It looks tidy but there's jobs like kitchen cupobards, ovens and other areas that will have to be sorted.

We managed to get over to the beach for the weekend. MM's brother and his wife were staying over there as well at their son's place so we caught up quite a bit and had them for dinner on Saturday night. We took Devin along as well, wasn't going to but then thought it was the start of the school holidays. He's getting hard going, never stops talking!! I only managed one walk, and had to smile when my sister in law commented the walks over there were causing her pain in her calf muscles. I had already found that out! I've mentioned before that the hill to the beach house is a steep one! The weather over there on Saturday was magical, just like a summer's day. We loaded up a picnic lunch and went down and had it on the beach.

I've thought about how I always seem to be in the wars and have realised in my typical way that I rush into things. Instead of building up gradually to walking, I take off and walk every day, up and down hills, so I think it is a simple case of over doing it and then I pay! I've done a couple of gentler aqua deep sessions but that's it. The couple of physio appointments I've had almost bring tears to my eyes, it hurts!! They find areas that you don't even know hurt. So when I get back to normal, I'm going to take it a bit easier and work my way up to decent walks again, and remember to stretch before and after.

So exercise is down quite a bit for me, food has been ok. A couple of days coming in over points over the weekend (which seems to happen quite lot with me). I weighed this morning just to check, my normal weigh in day is Wednesday. For the 4th week in a row I'm exactly the same!!!!! I didn't really exepct a loss this week as not moving as much but can't believe how stable the scales are (LOL maybe I better check they are not stuck).

Thanks for your comments on my marks. LOL my sister called me a geek! I think the main reason I did well is cause I enjoyed this part. I mentioned the next section is on Access which we don't have on our computer! I thought I could just go and buy that program but no such luck, I have to buy the whole package which I don't need and it costs $398! I then thought our son-in-law may have the program on his computer and I could use that at their house. He didn't but here was 5year old Devin piping up in the background that it probably was on his computer, (they bought him an old one to play with as he loves them) We grinned at each other thinking 'yea right Devin' he would have no idea - then he asked me to come and look with him. I did and sure enough he had it. Then the little professor told me he would email it to me but mentioned he better do it right or there could be a disaster! ??? He cracks me up!!

Catch you later:)

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.

Hope the physio gets you back to normal soon :)

I use Access at work and I hate it, I much prefer Excel and Word.
Good luck.

I am sure that Devin is headed for 'great things' in his life. Between him & little Rhian the world had better start getting prepared now!!!!!!!
Glad you are slowing down..LOL I am sure your house is fine but I know what you mean I'll be doing the same before we leave for our holiday :)
Enjoy the rest of the week. :)

Well done on your great test results Anne!

How gorgeous that Devin is so brilliant. Isn't it amazing what they know about computers these days at such an early age?!
