Update

About time for an update! Don’t know why but the past couple of days I’ve been feeling a bit blah, not sure what’s up but just don’t feel my usual self. Here’s a bit of a summary on how my week has been.
I've posted a photo of the backs of the grandkids - not that I don't want you to see their faces but our battery ran out and this is the only shot we got!! Can you see why people pat Fynn's hair???
Weekend – we had a good couple of days with the grandkids at the beach. The first day their excitement levels were high! The second day was a lot calmer and they had a lot of fun just doing simple things like climbing up the sandhills and rolling down! Sand all through their clothes, hair and even up their noses!! MM had a kite and they had a go at flying that but not enough wind. We are usually complaining about the wind over there as it can blow a lot! Lots of walks as well, I did around 11,000 steps both days so can’t even imagine how many steps those little legs did. We were only in the car for about 10 minutes on the way home and they had both crashed – sound asleep!! Food over the weekend was a lot better apart from sneaking a few chips from the fish and chips (just couldn’t resist) that MM and the kids had on Saturday night, so not perfect but pretty close! We are getting the house ready to put on the net for renting out – not really keen on the idea but it was always the plan.
Weigh in – for me this is Wednesday and my second week of staying the same!! I’ve put in a lot more effort so was a bit disappointed but I’m working on the theory that the effort will show up with a loss next week! And as we always say to each other – at least it wasn’t a gain!
Our family overseas – at last we heard from our daughter who has gone to the UK with her two little boys and husband (for a family wedding, they head back here in four weeks). She phoned over the weekend but we were away! Left a message though and she sounded just a little spaced out, telling us that the boys were finally into a room???? – then corrected her self and said oops I mean routine. She finished the call by saying ‘oh yes the trip over was hellish – Casey (nearly two) did not want to be on a plane’ and that was it! So not really sure how he behaved but it doesn't sound good - and to think they have to do it all over again to come home and the next trip has no stop over – good luck to them!!
Walking – this is where I’ve pushed myself the past week and five days out of seven I hit over 10,000 steps, so a lot happier in seeing them increase. This is such an improvement on the normal 3,000ish steps I do. I know if I didn’t wear the pedometer I just wouldn’t be trying as hard. Every day involved a bit of a hill walk – both here and at the beach.
Exercise – well we officially have an aqua kick class twice a week now and I love it! Also the gym is starting yogalites so that will be on my agenda as well. I did six aqua classes for the week on top of the walking. This week just to throw in some variety I’m aiming for a walk one day and exercycle the next. I’m trying to get motivated to give the gym another go.
Test – I have another test of Friday for my course, (that came around quick!) this one on Excel and my brain was getting a bit frazzled there for a while, but I think I’m getting it all together after going through a pile of exercises once more. Not being a natural with maths the formulas can tend to get me and then we had to learn doing IF statements, which I had never heard of! Love doing the charts and spreadsheets and I’ve learnt a lot more about those. So much you can do and really this is probably just the surface. Funnily enough I’m enjoying it! Remind me of that when I have to start going through the theory for the final exam.
What else – I met up with Jenny (Jo’s mum) yesterday for a coffee, was good to see her once more and once again the time flew in. Started to think she had got lost as she was held up but she made it!
Back off to hit some work and study, get dinner ready and then off the pool. I have really had to push myself a bit the past couple of days but feeling a bit better today so looking forward to it. Have a great week!

Well done on the 5/7 hitting 10,000. That's great Anne. And two weeks of maintaining is fantastic. I say the more you practice maintaining on the way down - the easier it will be to do once you are at goal. :)
I hope the flight back is better than the flight over for your daughter. I shudder to think of taking my boys overseas. The 2 hour flight to Adelaide just about does me in, not to mention the 16 - 20 hours drive over. Oh I had better start thinking of that again for Christmas LOL.
Hope you have a great week and just keep going the way you are. Up the water drinking and next week should be a good result as well. :)
Your poor daughter and husband on that plane with a littlie that doesn't want to be there....must have been hell.
You are doing really well with your steps.....excellent and maintaining is great but I'm betting you have a loss next week.
Fynn's hair.....just beautiful!
Good luck on your test tomorrow!
Was great to catch up again :) Sorry about the hold up but "thank goodness" for mobility parking spaces....LOL There are some advantages to not being able to walk properly after all....LOL
All the best for your test tomorrow. I am sure you will do really well.
Have a great weekend.

You certainly sound like you are back in full swing. Hope your test went well.

Your little grandsons sound and look so sweet! I know exactly how you're feeling with the weight - it's so tedious when one has tried so hard to no effect. But the only thing is to keep going (as I tell myself).
Flynn's hair, yep I would have to pat it too!!
Keep up the awesome effort, they will be rewarded, just keep at it!! Good luck with the test.....and ohhh I would have pinched a chip too..yummo!!
