The airport scene!

Our daughter and family are back! I think this photo taken at the airport speaks a thousand words!! Fynn couldn’t wait to see his cousin Jordyn again and was so excited as the plane landed, he really was beside himself. He waited by the door and as the first passengers came through he looked at them and was quite upset – saying to them “You aren’t Jordyn!” They were a couple of business men and they had a laugh and agreed with him that No they weren’t Jordyn. The two cousins seeing each other again was so touching, they both stopped dead in their tracks, grinned from ear to ear and then Fynn grabbed Jordyn and gave him a huge hug.
We've missed each other!!
Our normally very placid daughter arrived back form the UK with her husband and two little boys. Her first comment on the trip was that if planes had windows that opened she would have thrown Casey out! They travelled 33 hours and they estimated that Casey probably slept only 3 of those, the rest of the time he cried, this was despite being dosed to help him sleep? Was great to have them home safe and really not looking too shattered. The boys time clocks are just getting back to normal, the first coupel of days they kept dropping of to sleep during the day and one morning one of them woke up for play at around 3.00am, the other around 5.00am! Rachel and her husband said they wouldn't do that trip again with children!!
The past week has been really busy, as always we seem to have to work flat out before hand so that we can get a break!! But knowing that I got everything done that I wanted is a good feeling. My list is pretty much completed!! I even managed a session of computer work for my course yesterday. Also went shopping for thermals! We had a freezing day and I started to wonder what we would strike in the South Island, so just in case went shopping. Today is a lot warmer though. I keep telling MM we were meant to go somewhere tropical!!
One thing I had to do before we went away was to go for my driver’s license. I had trouble with the eye test and that was with my glasses on!!! I was getting quite worried but phew got there in the end. It was weird and as if the columns were changing. I wear progressive glasses so this may not have helped. A young girl beside me seemed to be having a lot of bother and they sent her of for an eye test.
Meant to say in my last entry I weighed in on Wednesday and stayed the same. More than happy with this as I only managed three exercise sessions last week. Also I didn't track every day. I was careful though and watched what I ate, but in saying that this is when the extra points sneak in. I didn't seem to go well with the water intake either. I think just too much happening here and my best laid plans went astray. Holiday ahead so if I come back from that the same weight I would be really happy. I'm still planning to be on track, but we will be eating out quite a bit, so planning to aim for healthy choices. We will be doing quite a bit of walking and luckily my calf muscles are feeling a bit better.
And when I come back - it's time! Time to try something new in the way of exercise. I found there is a pilates class once a week not far from home, and yoga is another thought. But the nagging thought in my head is to head back to the gym - once I'm there I don't mind it, love the feeling of achievement once the session is over, but everytime I stop going I just find it so hard to get back into it.
Just to explain that Jordyn has a Nevus on his face, (type of birthmark) he has already had a couple of operations to remove it as it has to be cut out. Will have one more before he goes to school. They have done such a great job of it and we know the finished result will hardly be obvious. Funny thing is we forget about it but Rachel said people ask some strange questions. Someone wanted to know if it was a tattoo!!
Have a good week everyone and will catch up when we get back!!
