Mission over for another year

Just loved the Mission concert this year, Eric Clapton was amazing. It all ended far too soon! As usual the atmosphere at the Mission was a fun one, everyone really gets into the spirit of it all. Our whole weekend was a fun one. We arrived in Napier and met up with my sister and some friends for a late lunch. Back to our nephews place (where we stayed this year) and we wandered down to the concert about 5.00pm. We had seats so no big rush to get there. Our nephew and his partner live about 3 k's away so not too far. Seemed to bang into quite a few people we knew this year - but didn't see you Sue! I think the Mission will have a job on their hands next year to come with an act anywhere near as good. We got back after the concert and sat around outside until after 1.00am, playing Eric's CD. The next morning we went out for brunch, then onto the Farmer's market where we stocked up on loads of fresh fruit. At the concert we banged into our friend's daughter and husband who have recently moved up to the Bay. They invited us to their home on the Sunday before we headed home. Peter must have been in quite a 'mellow' mood when he memorised the address. He told me the name of the street and no it wasn't on the map, I found one street with a sort of similar name and he said yep that's it - so off we went to this street and we started to look for No: 23 - a little cul de sac and the houses didn't go up that far! I was getting to the roll the eyes stage but he then thought it may be No: 13. All the time I was thinking we were in the wrong street, wrong number but he bowled up knocked the door and came back to the car with a huge grin on his face. He was at the right place!

Food and water over the weekend. Food - a bit over but I made some good choices. Water - drunk plenty but does wine also count? Don't think so. Exercise - lots of walking. I clocked up over 15,000 steps on Saturday but rather than lose my pedometer down a porta-a-loo at the concert it went in my bag.

This week - our son is best man at a wedding up north and is staying here tomorrow night before heading on.

My sister's friend had spare tickets to the sevens, but we had already arranged to go with friends to the beach and work permitting may take Monday off to get another long weekend.

Life is all go - but it's fun!
