Still here
Just checked and my last entry was last Thursday! Where did that week go to?? After our holiday life seemed almost a little cruisy but now we are back into work again, one man away overseas, one vehicle out of action, catch up time after holidays and back to reality.
So what's been happening - Friday - well we tried all sorts of ways to try and get down to the funeral on the following Tuesday, (bearing in mind that to drive, catch the ferry, drive again would be about 8 hours one way!) we also looked into charter flights with other family members going down for the day, just couldn't get it flowing at all. Some family drove down taking a few days there and back but for us work commitments (not just work but also contract commitments and one man overseas.... just wasn't going to happen) so then I got on-line and booked to go down early March and can spend time with Peter's brother then also our son. So plans got made, cancelled, made again and in the end we were here sitting around for the weekend and so went to the beach as we had originally planned.
Work has been... well busy. My plans for increased exercise started with a huge hiss and a roar - and I aimed for 70,000 steps a week and have to say last week (Sat up to Fri) I did it! I thought it was almost easy and was going to do a post telling you all to just put on a pedometer and do it! (Haven't got all the exact figures in front of me but I know the last day had only just over 5,000 to make it - so well and truly over my aim) but this week I have to eat my words...... averaging around 7,000 - 8,000 a day - but today have just thought to hell with it, can't be bothered and the pedometer is having a rest. Start of a new week tomorrow..........
Almost three weeks since we've been back from holiday - and a weigh in yesterday - showed - A BIG FAT ZILCH!! I've had a couple of really good weeks, being a lot more active than normal, a couple of slacker days in the weekend but still not bad. I keep telling myself to perservere and it they will start to move - but frustrating. I was so full of fire - and know if I started seeing results I would keep motivated but the enthusiam is dimming just a bit. Funny though my clothes are losing that snuggish feeling they had over the holidays.
We are off to see Eric Clapton at the Mission - should be a great concert.
Have been reading up on blogs - but been a bit busy to comment, hoping for a better week next week. Have a great weekend:)

It is disheartening when you've done the right thing and the scales don't reflect it but if you can continue doing the right things and eating the right things I figure it's going to show eventually and you feel so virtuous in the meantime! Enjoy the concert - wish I was in NZ and could go too!
See you at the Mission?
Hope you enjoy the concert, you may even run into Sue! Take wine, she likes it!! lol
Hope the concert was good - he is playing in Sydney on Monday I think. Friends are going but of course we will be in Goulburn and will miss out this time.
Good going with the walking and have an AWESOME time at the gig!
Enjoy the concert, it should be great.
Keep up the effort, perservering will show results.
