Tarot card reading
There's a side to me that I haven't shown here. I'm into Tarot cards, not in a huge way but maybe every couple of years I take myself of to a local woman who does the most amazing readings. I try and keep poker faced, as I know sometimes a lot of what they say can depend on your reaction. Nothing really outstanding yesterday in my cards, but they are all good. the very first card she turned over was to say I was doing exactly what I wanted with my life now and I'm happy where I am. Have never really thought about it before - but she did hit the nail on the head. I'm no longer in a stressful job, instead I work my hours to suit. Life is a combination of family, time with our grandsons, work, going to the pool, staying at the beach, plans to travel in the pipeline, even getting into the gym. I made the decision not to keep on studying which was a deep down relief. So I do feel this year is going how I like it. Then she came up with asking which daughter had sons and had moved house, I had to reply - both of them! LOL She told me I was making it bloody hard and put those two cards aside to come back to. She described our second grandson exactly. That he is a clown, but also a sensitive little homebody. This is Fynn, she is right he is a clown. Not too much else came out but she did say my son would be offered a share in a business - he just has been. She said Peter is worried about something - he is which is sort of the reason I decided to go. I was told to tell him to stop worrying! As I said I haven't seen this woman for a good couple of years, but at the end of the reading she told me I look twenty years younger! Whatever she takes I want some as she revealed she is now close to eighty. Doesn't look it at all!
I survived the gym visit on Monday - don't know but maybe it seemed just a little bit easier. I was no where near as sore as last week. I really think jumping straight into the pool for an aqua session helps here. It's my reward! I'm finding the cardio side hard, really out of my comfort zone doing this. The very first time I ever considered going to gym I imagined I would just be doing maybe a cruisy 10 mins on the exercyle, then some weights and in my naivety never expected the effort I needed to put in. Didn't even think I would need a towel as I wasn't expecting to sweat! Now I really do know I'm working. Every minute is hard going. I do have to push myself to go, but I'm trying to get to the stage where I don't think like that. The one thing I keep saying to myself - that my aim for now is for three sessions a week of approx. an hour so breaking it down like that doesn't seem like it's too hard.
The gym - well a friend asked why I was doing it? Was this to lose weight? No - it's not, although that would be an added bonus. I want to take my fitness up a notch or two, reduce my blood pressure, improve my strength which in turn will help with the calf muscle issue that has been ongoing. I know my exercise had gone a bit stale with only doing aqua. It was the best thing for me almost 28 kilos ago when I started this journey never having exercised, but I know I need more. I'm sort of looking forward to competing 6-8 weeks and then being reassessed and just seeing what changes I've made.
The gym requires extra effort in another area - the gear I have to take! My bag doesn't only have the gym gear but then the pool gear as well.
I dress for the gym but also have to pack:
Gym towel
Water bottle
Togs
Beach towel
Sun block
Sun hat
Change of clothes
And the usual, wallet, keys, glasses.... me!
I find it easy to come home, chuck everything straight into the washing machine and re-load the bag with the fresh towels. Everything gets either hung out or into the dryer, then back into the bag. Alternate days I just need the pool gear. A bit of a work out just getting ready.....
Have a great day. Hope the sun appears soon, because my plan today is an hour in the gym, then 45 minutes in the pool.

You really are in a good place now Anne. Love teh comment re looking 20 years younger. Bet you feel younger too. The strenuous exercise has really succeeded in lowering my BP so keep at it.
It sounds lovely that you can go to the gym and then do aqua (coll off), does your gym have a pool as well?
Sounds like a great idea really, I wonder if they have that in the Hutt Valley anywhere? mmmmm might go google that.....hope the gym went well.
Thanks for your comments today Anne, I have made an appointment with my Dr for Friday... finally! Thanks for the suggestion about the ablation, I shall bring it up with him.
Hope you had a great gym workout and swim.
The tarot card thing sounds interesting! My Mum has had a few readings done, and I think I might put it on my next 101 list, for fun.
P.s. I'm not sure if I commented last time or not, but your grandkids are just gorgeous!
Oh, your grandsons are just beautiful! You sound really happy, which is lovely.
