The weekend
Saturday - well I've just had a bit of incidental exercise, running to get under the doorway as we just had an earthquake! I'm terrified of them. I blame my mum for this! She was from Scotland and had never felt an earthquake until she lived here. Whenever we had one when we were kids, mum would shout for us to get under the door, table, wherever - just run! She would completely freak out, meanwhile we would running in all directions... any wonder why I still react? Anyway it was only a little one today (according to Peter) who sat here very calmly drinking his coffee, and also very calmly asked me where I was going. Under the door of course - isn't that what you are supposed to do!
The get together group that Chris has started once again went really well. Great too as we all seem to have a lot more motivation going for us than recent months.
Peter just reported the earthquake was 5.1.
Friday - back into the pool for aqua, comment from the instructor was that she thought I had fallen of the wagon as I hadn't been all week! I told her I'm won't be falling of any wagon, I was sick on Monday and had a hairdressers' appointment on Wednesday - so I was let of! Later yesterday I noted my steps, hovering around 4500, I remembered reading Jenny and CM's entry and what they had achieved - so on went the jacket and of I went for a walk, ended up just over 10,300 for the day, most I've done for a while and I felt great! We live by a large hall that is used for social events and as I was nearing home, I could hear the distant sound of bagpipes coming from there, not sure what was going on but it made it a pleasant walk. Had to laugh at Toby our dog, he was quivering with excitement when he saw me put on my jacket, so I just had to take him.
Tomorrow - of to met up with Wellington bloggers and go to the expo, will be a good day. Right now - going to read a couple of blogs and then back to the house to get some housework done.

oooh i FELT THAT ONE.... it was neat!!! I get a thrill when we have one and just yesterday I was thinking "hmmmm we havn't had an earthquake in a while, must be due for one" !!!! It was a good meeting I felt... looking forward to the next one. See you tomorrow.
Sometimes I am thankful for living in boring ol' Saskatchewan Canada for that reason exactly! I can't handle tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes - etc. I would have been hiding in the tub for sure!
ohhhhhhhh earthquakes...eeeeeeeeek, would be scary, living in a cyclone part of the world was bad enough for me...
