More expense!
*****UPDATE TO THE POST BELOW*****
- The vehicle has a blown head gasket, given that it has cost $1600.00 only a couple of weeks ago, it seems to make sense to get it fixed - then it should go forever (maybe)???
- The burning smell - Peter said it could have been the neighbour burning of scrub on the farm behind the office. Nothing caught on fire overnight, so that's the main thing.
- The BBQ - I think I got Peter at a weak moment. He didn't get back with the towed vehicle until after 7.00pm - then had a beer with his brother and then I bought the brochure under his nose..... I ordered it this morning. Can't wait as can roast and rotisserie in it. Will be ideal over summer.
- The weekend, coffee here in the morning. Will be fun to catch up, and hoping these women will inspire me a little as I need it at the moment! Then we are heading over to the beach - I'm trying to talk Peter into staying a couple of nights and heading back Monday morning. Depends on the work load.
The day has not been the best. Peter was on the phone this morning and I had to shove a note under his nose - saying come back to the house, dish washer leaking water every where! He quickly raced over and we looked at the big puddle on the floor but couldn't work out where it was coming from. The dish washer seemed fine, yet it was all around it. (LOL later I got thinking - did Devin or Fynn spill a glass of water!) Then......the day continues - I think it is about time we laid Peter's work vehicle to rest!! Earlier last month, it had a diesel leak, then sprung another leak which involved more work. It cost close to $1600.00 from memory. He has just phoned me, he's stuck out in the country on a farm and now the not so trusty vehicle sounds like it has cooked!! His brother is on his way here to take the 4 wheel drive out to tow him home. Damn, damn - as while this was happening I was in town pricing a nice new BBQ!! Friends own a business that sell them and gave us a really good price but depending on the vehicle the BBQ may have to wait:-( Some weeks everything just seems to hit us. I hope there won't be a third thing as Peter had the expensive start of dental treatment yesterday after breaking a tooth! Think positive - things don't always go in threes do they?
No WW for me today as had an appointment at the hairdressers, but weigh in this morning showed a 200 gram gain. Deserved too as I've slipped back into a complacent mode of loosely following the WW points plan but not actually tracking! Not drinking water either - so it's up to me to change my ways and get back into it. One thing when I get to the stage of maintaining my weight I've had lots of practise!!
Better go and get some work done, as I've been out of the office for part of the day, it's catch up time.
Back again - I'm getting worried now! I can smell burning in the office, but can't find anything! Hope it's not this computer.... we haven't long got it back from being repaired. It's only a couple of months old as the last one blew up after a power cut. I first smelt the burning after Peter's brother went of in the 4 wheel drive and thought it was fumes from that. I had to go to the house and when I came back to the office the smell is quite strong, there's no smoke though just a suspect burning smell. You know - if there is someone up there, lately it seems as if they have continuously being throwing things at us - saying take that!! Just to be sure, I'm going to run the statements for end of month, back the computer up and cross my fingers the smell is nothing! I feel a bit like a drama queen - but roll on Friday, I've had enough of today!!

Hells bells, I have always found things go in threes mate... I hope your computer does not blow up! See you on saturday still with all your dramas going on??????
I was just thinking the same thing as Chris. Hopefully this will be the end of the drama.
oh wow, i hope things get better for you today! :)
Oh Anne I feel horrible for you, you guys have had sooooo much thrown at you lately and now the burning smell.......eeeekkkk!
I'd replace the batteries in the smoke alarm and get the fire extinguisher ready just in case.
Have a lovely weekend.
Glad things went from worse to better. Let's hope the cycle's broken.
Gotta love the new barbies. Don't know what we'd do without ours.
Hope you get a good couple of nights at the beach. It's a great place to unwind and let the hassles go.
Just have a great weekend.
