Back to normal
All back to normal – and what a relief! I went back to aqua yesterday and it was so good, outdoor pool though so a bit cold to start with, (makes you move faster when it’s cold!) I’m not complaining, at least I’m better. Makes me appreciate being able to move freely, feeling good and I’m going to take advantage of it.
Not that you need reminding but Christmas is getting closer. I feel like everything is well under control, most of the shopping is done, so it’s all looking quite stress free. Only thing I’m worried about is me!! I don’t want a repeat performance of last Christmas when the good times and nibbles extended way beyond Christmas. I got through Christmas Day well – thinking that wasn’t too hard, then the nibbling and good times went on (and on) into the New Year and then holidays…….. Into February!! Then can remember telling Peter that unless he ate up the goodies that were still lurking about – they were going! A bit of a disaster and rather than enjoy it I end up feeling bloated and uncomfortable (and not happy!). I know what my downfalls are and this year I want to plan a lot better, enjoy, still have some treats along the way – but most important learn when to stop!! Also the weeks leading up I’ll give extra effort in tracking and exercising and who knows I may be able to budge a little bit of weight as well.
My test results have come back – so all the practical work is done and I have 62% out of a possible 70% - (30% is the final exam) which means I’ve passed the paper!! A course I did a few years ago, you had to achieve a 50% pass in the final but I found that isn’t the case with these papers. Seems a bit strange that I can get a diploma paper without passing the final exam, but I won’t argue. I can’t sit back though and I want to give it my best shot – so I’ll keep working towards it.
Phew – our next few weeks are full on. As well as the socializing that comes this time of the year – just taking a look briefly at some things ahead
This weekend we have our daughter’s birthday
Our son is visiting from the South Island
A family get together
Study – then an exam
Two grandsons’ birthdays in December (6 days apart)
A 30th birthday
Our grandsons have a half brother – he has a December birthday as well
We’ve also just had a son-in-law’s birthday as well as our wedding anniversary (thirty something years!)
Do Christmas cards, bake 3 three Christmas cakes, one for son to take home, one for here and I also one with just three ingredients, fruit juice, fruit and SR flour which you would never know was low fat, low sugar…
Today – piles of office work, hairdressers, aqua tonight, hoping to do some more study. Best I keep moving!

Wow you sure do have a busy time ahead of you but am sure you will manage just fine :)
Enjoy your week.
Nice to catch up on all your news, Anne. I've been abit slack lately, so I had to read back through a few entries!
About the skin thing - perhaps you could talk to the doctor/chemist about a good barrier cream to put on before aqua?
Wow, lots to do! I love the busyness of December though, I think it makes christmas day just that much sweeter, knowing it's been a bit of a slog to get through to that day (best day of the year!).
And people go on about me being on the go all the time! You are just a busy mate! I am going to aqua joggine lunchtime tomorrow, may see you there? Great results with the exams too, good for you.
