Who are you?

Ok - who are you guys?? Last night I put on a stat counter and since then had 39 hits - but only a couple of comments. Interesting....

Just a very quick entry as haven't started dinner yet. I changed my plans yesterday and ended up spending the day working in the office as month end and this gave me some time today to go to the gym and onto aqua. Thought I would mention that one exercise at the gym I was given was to lie flat on my back and do leg raises, then keep on going not touching the ground with my feet. Two sets of 20 - well I first tried it I struggled with even the first couple, so my instructor said just to start with 5. I did and this still was hard on my tummy - today I did the 2 sets of 20!!!

I bought the book Eat, Move and Be Healthy of TradeMe. This is one that Helena follows, well I spent quite a bit of time with it yesterday, flicking from one section to the next. So much to take in, very interesting, a lot of common sense. I did the first questionnaire and had some high areas, interesting. The second quiz got to me, got me stumped. It was on how you feel, sleep etc after eating either carbs/ proteins. I wouldn't have a bloody clue!! Showed me that I stick very much to the same type of food without noting what effect it has on me. I'm very much into carbs, love Burgen fruit bread for breakfast or cereal, lunch is usually bread or sushi - a little protein here but not much. Night is protein, salad or veges. Snacks quite often are things like crackers and cereal bars. I really have to get stuck into this book and get the best out of it. I have to determine if my food intake should be higher in protein or carbs and which I'm most suited to. To start with I need to have more variety in my food intake, try protein for lunch rather than a carb filled meal, maybe protein at breakfast too, see how I feel, function with a change. The other concept they had I have to read up on was a rotation diet. Where you have a group of foods on Day 1, different group on Day 2 - and again for 3 & 4. None of these foods are to be repeated again until the four days have gone - haven't explained that very well but hey I know what I mean!

So much for a quick entry - better go and get dinner started! Tonight chicken and kumera curry with rice and steamed veges.

Don't forget if you are a reader - say hello from time to time! Would love to hear from you.

Hey hun... I came in yesterday and didn't reply but replying now.

I know what you mean about the ticker going up but not a comment... Sometimes I suppose people just can't think of what to say. I have that sometimes... I want to say something but can't work out what without waffling (like I am doing now he he he).

Sounds like the book is really interesting hun. I am tempted to go and buy one myself.

Love Chubbymum

Hello Anne

I pop in from time to time just to see what you up to.

Those tickers can send ya bonkers sometimes! I too have alot more ticks than comments, think that's quite normal... like CM says most don't know what to say or as I found alot don't comment if they don't have their own blog, not sure why. I was a lurker for a long time before I started blogging again. I guess it's like being new at a ww meeting and wanting to sit in the back row and just watch for a while.

Hi Anne, I have been a reader for awhile now and enjoy your blog. I think sometimes us non-bloggers don't know just what to say! Anyway love the sound of the book and will look for it at my next library visit.
have a good day
