Saturday

Anyone who has lost weight will have had at some stage had shocked and surprised someone who hasn't seen you for a while. As I've been around the same weight for ages these moments are few and far between nowdays, but yesterday it happened!! I was leaving aqua and going through the door I stopped to let a women come in. We both ended up stopping dead in our tracks as we recognised each other she stood with her mouth open and said 'Oh my God - Anne??' We worked together when I was at my heaviest and going by her face and comments she really did get a surprise seeing me now. She kept commenting how great I looked, I felt a bit like a drowned rat as I normally do after an aqua class, but left with a big smile on my face!!

Caught up with Jenny & Chris H yesterday and once again today when we had a Saturday morning get together. I enjoy the sessions, we are all at different stages of our journeys and with various ways of achieving our goals, so quite interesting hearing how others are faring. Funny at the meeting this morning - one of Chris H's friends and I realised we had done a couple of aqua classes together - funny how you don't recognise someone with their clothes on! I raced of from there as I promised the grandsons I would see their swimming class. Home for lunch which was a really very tasty chicken wrap filled with all sorts of goodies. Peter wanted an avocado sandwich and went about making his own but then he saw my creation and wanted to know why I hadn't made him one of those! I had offered but he can't have know how good it was going to look. I'm going well with the lowered carbs, starting with having half of the carbs I normally would have for breakfast, snacks are now fruit and yoghurt (yes I know they are carbs but they are better ones and lower than my normal snacks) also no carbs at night. My food is looking a lot more creative, and to top it of - I'm feeling great!!!! A few exclamation marks here because I really am feeling GREAT! Interesting reading up on the subject too......

After meeting Jenny and Chris yesterday I had to go into the chemist and went past a book shop which was having a sale, right on top of the pile of books in the bin was a book reduced down to $3 - all on low carb eating. Have skimmed through a bit of it and it will really be useful, quite a lot of interesting easy recipes, meal plans and so on.

Better go as sitting here is not getting anything done.

It is the best feeling running into someone who hasn't seen you in ages eh??? I love it!!! WAs lovely this morning, glad I have decided to keep up with the informal meetings, they do me good, hope they do everyone else some good too.

Well done on your satisfactory encounter!

Sitting here not getting on is so much more fun than doing what one's supposed to, isn't it, though?
