Thursday

Was really lovely to catch up with my friend. Lots to talk about and funny after all this time how we find a lot in common. I was telling her about a book I had just read and enjoyed - and snap so had she. Then she started telling me about another she thought I would love - and just that mornng I had won an auction on Trade Me for the same book. Also don't know how at 19 years we managed to go overseas together and not get lost! I have really no sense of direction. A couple of years ago Peter and I were on holiday in Fiji where the resort's restaurant had paths going through the garden heading in different directions. Even after a week Peter was cracking up at me as I kept heading of in the wrong direction. When my friend left the other day, she was heading back down south, she only had to take two turns to get to the main road. I told her once she reached the main road she had to turn right, she asked why right, shouldn't she go left? Well if she went left she would have been taking a round trip back to our place, she didn't get it, so I told her to follow me and when I indicated I was going left, she had to take the right turn - I think she made it back! Haven't heard. I was grinning on the way home, it was a miracle the pair of us travelled together with no major hiccups!

Hiccups - well we still are having a few around this place. Yesterday in the shower - the water started reducing down to a trickle, not impressed as I had a head full of conditioner. We are on tank supply but I knew we had plenty. Being an electrician's wife I then checked the switchboard to make sure all the circuits were ok, they were. I had to call Peter who couldn't get back to fix it until much later. The pump was faulty - all ok now.

Chris H and kids bought up Izzy yesterday. Our dog gets beside himself when they arrive and as Peter wasn't here I had trouble keeping Toby calm. I know he will settle once he get's used to having another dog about. Izzy - well she seemed to love it and just copied everything Toby did - even down to jumping in the dam! Would love some time with her (without our great big lump of a dog!) so going to phone Chris and see if I can pop down one day next week. I was trying to describe Izzy's colouring to my daughter - then I clicked and told her she was the same colouring as our grandsons Fynn's hair (red) chris noticed when she arrived as well.

40 degrees in my tin office yesterday afternoon!! Luckily I didn't have too much to do. Can't beat aqua in this heat, I did two sessions both yesterday and Tuesday (to make up for the rest of the week when I can't go!)

Oh A teeny loss of 200 grams this week.

You are welcome to POP down and visit with Izzy anytime mate... It's a good idea actually! I might even leave the two of you to it .... cos she is so bonded with me she will probably do nothing you ask her to! Stew thinks it will take a bit of time, but she will be fine with you guys! I am TOTALLY confident of that.
